Sales Lead / National Sales Manager – Nutraceuticals (Vitamins & Supplements)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Role Summary
    We need a hands-on Sales Lead who will personally drive sales while building our national distributor and pharmacy network. This is a field-heavy role — you will sell directly, close deals with pharmacies, supermarkets, distributors, and online channels, recruit/train the first sales team, and grow revenue aggressively. If you thrive in startups, love uncapped commissions, and want to lead sales for a promising wellness brand, this is your chance to own the function and earn big through performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Personally drive primary and secondary sales to achieve aggressive monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets across Kenya
    • Build and manage a national distributor, pharmacy, supermarket, and key account network
    • Conduct regular field visits, route planning, and in-person selling nationwide
    • Recruit, train, coach, and lead the first sales team (reps/distributor salesmen)
    • Develop and execute sales strategies, monitor market trends, competitors, and customer feedback
    • Negotiate deals, secure placements, and build strong retailer/distributor relationships
    • Track performance, prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports, and hit KPIs
    • Collaborate closely with founders on strategy, product feedback, and expansion

Role Requirements:

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in FMCG, consumer health, supplements, vitamins, OTC products, or pharmaceutical distribution
  • Strong hands-on field sales track record, especially building distributor/pharmacy networks from low bases
  • At least 2–3 years in a team lead, supervisory, or managerial role (or clear leadership potential)
  • National or multi-region sales experience is a big plus

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly target-driven, self-motivated, and resilient — excited to grow revenue aggressively
  • Quick learner for vitamins/supplements product knowledge
  • Willing and able to travel extensively across Kenya
  • Leadership mindset with hands-on field experience — lead from the front
  • Analytical skills for reporting and performance tracking
  • Valid driving license and own car (or willingness to use company support)
